Terms of Use

Last updated: 20 October 2026

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Ease platform, including our website and mobile app (“the Platform”). By using Ease, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

About Ease

Ease is operated by Ease Australia Pty Ltd (ACN 703 421 363, ABN 49 703 421 363) (“Ease”, “we”, “us”). Ease is a two-sided marketplace operated in New South Wales, Australia. We connect consumers with barbershops during off-peak hours at a discounted rate. Ease is a technology platform - we are not a barbershop, hairdresser, or personal care service provider, and we do not employ the merchants listed on our platform.

Eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years of age to create an Ease account. Users under 16 may use the Platform only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who accepts responsibility for the booking.
  • By using the Platform, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and up to date.
  • You must not use the Platform if you have previously been suspended or removed from it.

User accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. Ease is not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised access resulting from your failure to keep your credentials secure.

Ease reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, accumulate repeated no-shows, or misuse the Platform in any way.

Listings and the 40% discount

Each barbershop chooses which of its services to offer to Ease customers at the 40% off-peak discount. The discount applies only to those listed services; any other service is charged at the barbershop’s standard price, and the barbershop confirms eligibility in store. You choose which listed service you’d like on the day.

Ease curates and moderates listings to keep the Platform trustworthy. We may edit, unpublish, or remove any listing, and may adjust how availability and offers are displayed.

Bookings, arrival and wait times

A booking reserves a discounted appointment; it is an approximate start time, not a guaranteed seat time. Barbershops operate on a first-available-chair basis and also serve walk-in customers, so a reasonable wait is possible at busy periods, particularly if several customers arrive at once. By making a booking you acknowledge and accept that a short wait may occur and that this does not entitle you to a refund of the Ease service fee.

To keep your discounted slot, please arrive within 15 minutes of your booking time. Barbershops may decline to honour the Ease offer for customers who arrive significantly late. If your plans change, cancel through the My bookings section as early as possible so the barbershop can offer the slot to someone else.

Cancellations by a barbershop

Occasionally a barbershop may need to cancel a confirmed booking - for example, an emergency, illness, or an unexpected closure. If a barbershop cancels your booking, Ease will add a booking credit to your account so your next service fee is covered, and email you to let you know. A barbershop may also decline a booking in limited circumstances; where it does, you are credited in the same way. These credits have no cash value, expire after the stated period, and may only be redeemed against the Ease service fee.

Merchant use of customer information

When a customer books, the barbershop receives that customer’s name and contact details for the sole purpose of fulfilling that specific booking - for instance, to advise of a delay or a change to the appointment. Barbershops must not use these details for marketing, must not add them to their own mailing or contact lists, and must not retain or use them for any purpose beyond the booking. Any marketing communication is governed by the customer’s marketing preferences and the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Misuse of customer information may result in removal from the Platform.

Referrals

Ease may offer a referral programme that rewards customers with booking credit for introducing new customers. Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, expire after the stated period, and may only be redeemed against the Ease service fee. Ease may withhold or reverse credits, and suspend accounts, where it reasonably suspects fraud, self-referral, or other abuse of the programme, and may change or end the programme at any time.

Intellectual property

The Ease name, logo, platform design, software, written content, and graphics are the intellectual property of Ease and are protected under the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth). Copyright in all original works created by or for Ease subsists automatically upon creation and does not require registration.

You may not reproduce, distribute, adapt, or create derivative works from any Ease content without prior written permission. Unauthorised use of Ease’s name or branding in a way that is likely to cause confusion or misrepresentation may also constitute misleading or deceptive conduct under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are welcome to share links to the Ease Platform or reference Ease by name in a factual, non-misleading context (e.g. “I booked with Ease”) without requiring our permission.

Third-party services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. Ease is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party services. Payment processing is handled by Stripe - by making a payment on Ease, you also agree to Stripe’s terms of service.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ease excludes liability for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of the Platform or any barbershop service booked through it. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot legally be excluded.

Modification to terms

Ease may update these Terms of Use at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
